Q - Why should I consider asphalt paving?
A - It is cheaper upfront for you to have asphalt paving done. In the long term, repairing asphalt pavement is also cheaper. The price may vary due to the price of crude oil of course, but all in all, it will save you from dishing out more money. More of it will stay in your wallet!
Q - How many days after laying asphalt paving down will I be able to use my driveway etc.?
A - After about 7-10 days, your asphalt pavement will be ready for use. In warmer weather, it can take longer.
Q - Why should I consider sealcoating?
A - Sealcoating will aid in keeping your pavement protected from the elements that WILL beat up on it. The weather here in New England will not apologize!
Q - How often should I sealcoat?
A - We recommend every 3-5 years.
Q - What is the subgrade?
A - The subgrade is the natural material that is already under a paved road.
Q - What is the subbase?
A - The subbase is the extra layer of material that is laid out on top of the subgrade. The subbase will only be laid out if there will be vehicles passing over the pavement. It is not necessary if there is only pedestrian traffic.
